At this very moment, I miss lots of good "simulated" profits because the bot always hedges below my Lay bet even at 2 mn from a goal; which is very frustrating but it is a game!
Funny but I get baffled by the following instance.
First, the tick value on Betair are never the same. You have 0.01 value as tick, you can have 0.05 value as tick, you can have 0.02 value as tick...You never know!!!
So my first question is going to be:
1) In this context, how can you set up the bot to hedge (to avoid loss or to win) when the Betfair ticks are never the same!
My second question...
2) Then when I set up the bot to hedge to reduce loses at 6 ticks below price (for example), what does this actually mean?
6 ticks of the Back odds or 6 ticks of the Lay odds?
I mean if the Lay price is at 6.00 and it goes down and the bot is set up to hedge (to avoid loses) at 6 ticks below, does the bot aim at 6 ticks (below) of the Lay odd tick value or 6 ticks (below) of the Back odd tick value (at current price for both of course)?
I hope my explanation is clear enough.
Then my third and last question...
3) Now where I get really baffled is the following because this happens MANY, (I insist on "many") times:
Let's take Barrow vs Harrogate example tonight.
I instructed the bot to place a Lay Bet 3 minutes before KO until 22mn in play.
My Lay bet price range is 3.2-4.5.
The bot requested a Lay bet at 4 and got 3.9...All right (maybe!)
As you can see on the screenshot attached you can see that on the Back side, the tick value is 0.05 and on the lay side it is 0.1.
You can also see I set up the bot to hedge (to avoid max loss) at 6 ticks below price.
Then the price dropped in play right after start of game.
You can see that the bot has requested a price at 3.45 to hedge to avoid loses BUT this is:
9 ticks of 0.05 value of Back price or 4.5 ticks of Lay price tick value.
a) So, on one side (Back price), this is much more than 6 ticks below (as I set up) and on the other side (Lay tick value) the price could have gone further down before hedging (from 3.9 down to 3.3) during which time a goal happened that could have make me win the trade!!
There is something wrong there somewhere?
Am I clear enough?
Best regards,
