Cancel bet if unmatched behaviour

Hi,

I am experimenting with a scalping strategy that attempts to place many bets on the 1st and 2nd favourites. I also have the "Cancel bet if unmatched" rule set to 10s to cancel any initial bet if it's not matched in this time.

However, what I have noticed is that as soon as the cancel rule is triggered for any given selection, the bot no longer places any new bets on that horse at all, even though I would expect it to open a new trade straight away.

Am I misunderstanding how the cancel rule is working here?

Many thanks in advance.

That is how this rule is designed to work.

If you wish to place new bet then you will need to increase max number of bets per runner at strategy Edit form, the one where you set strategy name. But in that case you should probably use Max number of Matched bets rule and set it to 1 if you wish to have only 1 matched bet per runner.

Please read manual for details on how each rule works.

Thanks for confirming. To be fair, the manual doesn't talk a lot about the Cancel bet if unmatched rule.

I have also increased the max number of bets per runner setting but again, this didn't seem to help.

I'll double check these settings again tomorrow.

Yep, this appears to be working as I want now so it was probably me not doing something right before.

Many thanks for your help.
