Bf Bot Manager - Forum

Hi. I hope someone can advise me on where I am going wrong, please.? At present I am running 3 strategies on the horse racing win market. The bot is executing them correctly.
My first strategy comprises two of my own selections in races of a certain range of runners. I transfer this to the Mage tips file. So far so good. My second strategy places a win bet on the favourite in the same race as the one which contains the selections in the first strategy. The selections in the first two strategies are not always the same, but they all have to fall within the same odds parameters. I then repeat the process with the second favourite in the races where I have selections under the first strategy. Again, so far so good and all is well.

However, I wish to move on to each way betting ( that is by using the win and place markets and not the Betfair each way market). I am obviously doing something wrong withe filters for the place market, as no places bets are being fired. The Reports file states “ Market does not satisfy Markets filter condition /rule

I am sure the answer is staring me in the face but I can’t see any solution in the manual or videos. Am I doing something wrong with Events and Markets page? The Markets filter is set at “Only following markets
PLACE. Only markets that will be available during in play”

Are thsoe place markets going in play?

Can you please post screenshot of loaded Place markets at the main MARKETS grid view and of your settings?

Also screenshot of Reports tab would be useful too.

I didn’t bother sending my screenshots as I managed to sort all the issues out by thinking the process through. Alway better to try and resolve things on your own as it helps to explore all the workings of the bot.

However a minor but new issue has arisen. For place bets how can I take advantage of Betfair offering Places for a top 4 finish in say a 10 runner race. I have tried using the number of winners button set at>=3 but have not succeeded in getting the bot to place a top 4 finish bet.

You need to load OTHER_PLACE markets and then to use "Market conditions->Number of winners" rule so that strategy only bets on markets with 4 winners.

Thanks for swift reply. Presumably that means I need to manually filter out the races where BF offers 4 places and then create a seperate strategy using Other Places market?

Just create separate strategy for OTHER_PLACE markets and use rule "Number of winners", there is no need to manually remove markets.

Hi, I also have a problem with getting bets into the place markets.
I have 4 seperate strategies to place in markets Place2, Place3, Place4 & Place5.
I have tried the OTHER_PLACE and set the 'number of winners' for each strategy but looking at the loaded bets all seem to point either 4TBP or 2TBP (see screenshot) rather than the correct markets.

Other place markets have same market type, that is OTHER_PLACE, so you have to use MarketName column when importing your tips and specify that place market name. It needs to be identical to Betfair place market name e.g. TBP 4
