have been doing really well with my strategy in simulation mode. Went live a couple of days ago and for some reason the live strategy is only picking up about 25% of the matches that the simulation strategy is trading on. All my strategy settings are identical apart from i changed my selection price on the live strategy from 1.8 to 1.7 to at least give it a better chance to get matched. I've looked into the timings etc of all the matches that aren't firing as maybe it's a delay or var problem but 99% of the matches should have fired. I used the reports tab to see if ths could give me a clue and have screenshot one of the matches that should definalely fired. The match in question was the celta vigo match on the screenshot where the score was 0-3 and the simulation strategy fired but once again the live one didn't. please can you help or at least give advice on this matter. On the screenshot it says 'bet on?'. As the settings on both sim and live were the same this statement was strange.

sorry maybe should have given more info about the strategy. this is a soccer strategy whereas if the fav home team goes behind by a certain score then the strategy puts a trade on the next over score. The fav is less than 1.9 odds and the timing are 0-80 match minutes. hope this helps with your reply. thx Rob

Hi Rob,

There are differences between simulation and real mode.

Simulation mode is using Betfair delayed data that can be delayed anywhere between 1s and 180s. This makes simulation unrealistic for trading and similar strategies.

Simulation mode also does not check if there is enough money to fully match your bet at requested size. All bets are matched if requested price is available.

In real mode bot using real Betfair data that is not delayed.

thanks for your prompt reply. i also should have mentioned that my simulation strategies had a delay of 120 secs to combat the betfair delay. I only use a £1 stake so there should be no problem for the live ones to be matched especially as i was asking for less of a price than my simulation strategies. thanks anyway, Rob
