Hi,
I get baffled by something at the moment. I thought I had my bot properly set up BUT...
Basically I set up the Lay bet starting price from 1.5 to 5 (40 mn before kick off and running in play for 60 mn) then hedging from 4 to 20 ticks above.
Now the bot backs at prices below the Lay price it bets on!!! So of course, I loose!
I am in simulation mode fortunately.
I cannot see any valid explainations here.
Can you help me please find the solution?
Thanks you in advance.
PS: I am attaching screen shots of everything (I hope) is necessary but let me know.

Regards,
Roland

At your settings you ticked option to hedge if price goes down by 20% and hedging at lower price by 20% will create equal loss. If you do not wan to hedge for loss when price goes down by 20% then turn off that option.

Beside that, you should use "Hedge->Market conditions->Market status change delay" and "Hedge->Market conditions->Football - Bet when score" rules to check for match score and to delay hedge by 180s after market changes its status, in case that VAR disallows the goal.

Thank you, I will try and see how it goes. ;)

HI again,
I tried what you said but when I looked at the first match of the day, it behaved the same way!!!
Hedging (backing) at a lower price than Lay price and it is a loose again.
I am attaching my settings if you can have a look?
I really do not understand what is going on here!
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Roland

NB: Is there any specific chapters I should look into more indepth than chapter 2 and 3 in the manual?

Your hedge is set to execute if:

price goes below 2.0

OR

price goes up by 25%

OR

if score is 1-0 or 0-1 and 180s have passed since market was suspended last time.

That match was 1-0 at 8' and your bet was placed around at 16:33, that is around 33' of match, when score was already 1-0 so hedge executed almost immediately after initial bet got matched.

You should adjust your strategy so that it only bets when score is 0-0 by using "Market conditions->Football - Bet when score" rule. Your strategy should also use "Time to bet" or "Football - Match minute" rule, to define time when initial bet should be placed.

Also please notice that at Hedge->Safety settings you have set minimum price to 2.0, but you also ticked option to execute hedge when price goes below price 2.0, that is contradictory, so please adjust your min price.

HI,

THank you for your swift reply. Much appreciated.

1) However you say "Also please notice that at Hedge->Safety settings you have set minimum price to 2.0, but you also ticked option to execute hedge when price goes below price 2.0, that is contradictory, so please adjust your min price."
I do not really get it.

Do you mean that on Safety Settings tab, I am telling the bot to place a back bet (hedging) at a minimum value of Lay odd of 2 (so the bot will not place any back bet under a Lay price of 2 but only above 2) and that on the General Settings I set "hedge if price goes below 2"which is not possible since I set ip not to bet below 2 on the Safety Settings?

2) I seem also to have set up Lay Price to Monitor which should be Back Price to monitor isn' it, since per the manual that is the price that is compared to the initial bet (here the Lay price)?

Am I getting everything right?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Roland Bouchat

Price at which hedge will execute must be within min/max price range set at Hedge->Safety settings tab, that is range 2 - 50.0.

You ticked option to hedge if price goes below 2.0, so for example if price is 1.98 then that is outside min/max price range of 2.0 - 50.0 so hedge will not be able to execute.
